Easy Blog Networks Review
Description of Easy Blog Networks
Easy Blog Networks is one of the oldest and most used PBN hosting solutions. It aims to automate most of the setup processes when building out a PBN which it does well. It does so by diversifying hosting for your Private Blog Network (PBN).
The Easy Blog Networks platform certainly has a lot of bells and whistles and makes it quick to set up and scale your network. The platform itself is very appealing and it has great aesthetics. Plus, they are quite direct about their purpose – they’re responsible for building, hosting, as well as automating blog networks.
They also tackle possible issues that might appear in terms of setup and the overall PBN maintenance. If you have a larger business, and you’re on the lookout for a quicker and faster PBN solution, then Easy Blog Networks is worth considering.
What makes Easy Blog Networks popular is that they’re created with the sole purpose of hosting PBNs. This means that their overall system and approach are structured in such a way as to adjust to the needs private blog networks have.
So, if you happen to have a few PBNs then purchasing and maintaining several hosting accounts can turn out to be quite time consuming and highly impractical. The approach Easy Blog Networks have, however, is based on placing every website you have on a completely different host randomly.
So, how exactly do Easy Blog Networks function? Here’s what they say on their website:
“Your blogs are hosted on different A-, B- & C-Block IP addresses, in different data centers and by different hosting companies. This way your Private Blog Network profile looks completely natural.
We use a selection of high quality cloud hosts, many of them hosting millions of sites for their customers. We invested a lot of time to make sure your network doesn’t leave any footprints.”
What’s Problematic About Easy Blog Networks Then?
I was a customer of Easy Blog Networks for the longest time – it’s where I managed about 90% of my PBNs for ages. However, I made the switch around a year ago and haven’t regretted it.
Although Easy Blog Networks looks great and functions the way you’d expect, behind the scenes it’s a completely different situation.
One of the main concerns is that all websites on Easy Blog Networks are hosted on servers that only contain other PBNs so this in itself is an enormous footprint. The main issue with this is that you are hoping that other users who are hosting websites on these servers are doing the right thing, and if they aren’t, well, your website could potentially be affected as well.
This for me was too much of a risk and there are likely other potential unseen footprints and potential issues from this. I’ve also heard a number of people having bad run-ins with their support team and have changed services as a result, which is definitely a concern.
All in all, if you’re considering Easy Blog Networks for your PBN hosting, safety should be your top concern. This is why I now recommend LaunchCDN to anyone that asks.
Easy Blog Networks Pricing
Easy Blog Networks offer three different pricing plans., but I have to mention that EBN is considered to be one of the more expensive options when it comes to PBN hosting. Yet, it’s good to know that all plans come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
The first plan is Blogger+ and it’s suitable for 25 blogs. It costs 69$ per month (that’s 2.76$ per blog).
The second pricing plan is the Webmaster plan and it includes 40 blogs. The price is 99$ per month (2.48 per blog). This is considered to be, by far, the most popular pricing plan Easy Blog Networks offer. However, you should obviously choose the pricing plan that best fits your budget.
And finally, the third pricing alternative is the Webmaster+, which is suitable for 70 blogs. The price is 149$ per month (2.13 per blog).
One of the good things is that it scales to a very competitive price for very large plans, but for most users who are looking at hosting between 10-50 sites it’s a lot more expensive than its competitors. So, the more blogs you have (or if you’re planning on expanding even further), the more sense it would make to use EBN.
Plus, as outlined on their official website, each pricing plan includes the following:
- Hosting
- Daily backups
- Auto updates
- HTTPS
- Mailbox
- SEO metrics
- Free Transfer
Easy Blog Networks (EBN) also offer a 7-day free trial option. If you cancel your trial within 7 days, then you won’t end up being charged. However, even if you do end up using EBN’s services, you are free to cancel at any time (you have no long-term obligations or contracts). You get their services while you’re paying.
Platform Features
Easy Blog Networks does have a number of great features on its platform. And they are so great because they’ve been designed to suit the PBN criteria perfectly. They tackle almost every need you may have, and what’s great is that they are responsible for doing them. Here are some of the most useful EBN features:
- Automatic WordPress, Theme & Plugin updates
- Innovative and user-friendly dashboards
- Very simple set-up
- Neatly developed software
- Easy support for SSL
- Free migrations
- Internal mailbox platform
- Free daily backups
- Automatic NameServer updates when integrated with registrars
- Indexation check
- SEO metrics
- Automatic nameservers
What’s also very useful to know whenever EBNs are concerned is that they are said to only function on sites running on WordPress. This might sound a bit limiting at first, as the Internet is such a vast place and there are a plethora of content management systems (CMSs) such as Joomla, Drupal, Wix or Magento.
However, if you take a look at the following WordPress stats, it becomes much clearer why WordPress is constantly favored and holds dominance over the other content management systems. Here are the stats:
- WordPress is responsible for powering 35% of the web
- There are more than 1.1 million new registered WordPress domains every 6 months
- WordPress dominates Google’s SERP (Search Engine Results Page) with 2.28 billion results
- WordPress is, by far, the most used content management system
- The latest WordPress version has been downloaded more than 7,000,000 times
- WordPress stands behind 30.3% of the top 1000 websites
Anyhow, the fact that EBN basically specializes in hosting PBNs makes the developers and the whole team behind it work tirelessly to find adequate solutions and include features to make the overall functioning easier. Still, although EBN is perceived as the best PBN hosting solution out there, it does have its flaws and the more you are aware of them, the more difficult it is to neglect them.
Additional Easy Blog Networks (EBN) Attributes
Easy Blog Networks claim they have high-quality server configuration – you don’t need any costly security plugins because they look after everything. Their autopilot maintenance is not only truly carefully designed, but user-friendly too.
You are just one click away from a neat installation. Easy Blog Networks claim they put effort into the creation of every blog so that each blog can look as unique as possible. They pay attention to putting different themes, installing distinct plugins, as well as coming up with random usernames.
This is fairly easy for you because the only task you have is to enter your domain name. Easy Blog Networks handles everything else. This is not demanding at all, because when you consider all the steps a proper PBN requires, you’ll realize you can never do it on your own. Technically you could, but in practice it wouldn’t turn out that professional and it would be so time-consuming that you’d probably give up in the end.
Plus, whatever you do, you probably won’t be able to outdo the advanced software Easy Blog Networks offer, or any quality managed PBN hosting provider, for that matter.
Only imagine if you were the one who had to make sure all your hosting is properly diversified so that you can get unique IP addresses for each blog. Plus, all your nameservers ought to be unique too. Your WordPress plugins and themes have to be adjusted to the website, thus, different for each one. Trying to manage all this manually can only drive you crazy eventually.
However…
However, that still doesn’t mean you should definitely opt for Easy Blog Networks. Let me remind you that all EBN websites are hosted on servers containing other PBNs. The risks this entails are pretty much self-explanatory.
Plus, keep in mind that Easy Blog Networks provide hosting exclusively for PBNs – this affects its overall security (and credibility too!) because if Google eventually discovers this then it could de-index all the blogs that are being hosted there.
Also, it seems that Easy Blog Networks is more appropriate for larger PBNs because the minimal number of necessary blogs to be hosted is ten.
Anything Else?
Do keep in mind that although Easy Blog Networks have a few thousand IPs, you’re allowed to use up to 500 unique IPs. Also, all the IPs they’re using are said to come from trust-worthy providers based in the US, the UK, Australia, and Canada. Additionally, they guarantee almost 99.9 uptime.
Also, in case you get hacked, Easy Blog Networks will fix such issues (plus I’ve already mentioned they do free daily backups, so you won’t lose anything).
Easy Blog Networks have no fixed space or bandwidth limitations. However, they don’t encourage hosting high traffic blogs (for example, 10,000 monthly visits or even more).
They also won’t allow you to host illegal topics, hate speech, gambling and the likes. If you try to do such a thing, your blog post will be removed because their system does regular scans so it will end up identifying your post.
Easy Blog Networks (EBN) Competitors
Bulk Buy Hosting and LaunchCDN are Easy Blog Networks’ biggest competitors and there are some notable differences between them.
For starters, Bulk Buy Hosting is cheaper than EBN. However, Bulk Buy Hosting is just as easy to setup with a 1 click install and offers more space for domains.
Also, Bulk Buy Hosting includes regular updates but does not include maintenance. So, for most people Bulk Buy Hosting is a much better option.
EBN offers some extra bells and whistles that are precisely what seems to be attractive to webmasters. The fact they offer an all-encompassing package seemingly tackling all the issues that might arise is what makes them appealing in the first place. Unfortunately, they miss the mark on the base product, hosting of multiple websites.
Other competitors offering more or less the same services are the following: LaunchCDN, PBN dot Hosting, GoPBN, and CloudBoss Pro.
Although EBN is said to have a lower deindexing rate when compared with others, keep in mind that whichever option you choose you can never be fully exempt from it. This study they did also doesn’t include their two main competitors, Bulk Buy Hosting & LaunchCDN.
Conclusion
There’s no doubt that Easy Blog Networks is a pretty platform, but there are too many concerns I have with the neighborhoods the websites are hosted on and therefore wouldn’t recommend it.
Plus, it’s a rather costly alternative, and yet you’re still not 100% protected from potential de-indexing. Although, if we are being fair, deindexing can always occur when it comes to using PBNs.
Yes, EBNs are indeed admired by a large group of webmasters. In fact, the following stats based on a 2018 user survey portray the popularity Easy Blog Networks (EBN) have:
- 74.7% of users have the whole or most of their PBN on Easy Blog Network.
- 97.9% of users would recommend EBN to their friend.
However, in the last few years people have been moving away from them and to their competitors so it would be interesting to see these stats today. Just make sure you consider the risks as well as the potential danger of engaging in such PBN hosting strategies. If you are willing to take the risk then this could be a good option for you. Keep in mind though, while EBN is attractive and well developed, it is far from perfect.
